A Yoga and Pilates Studio in Hyattsville, Maryland

Tai Chi Class and Shoes in the Studio

As a normal practice we do not allow shoes in the studio beyond the tiled area inside the door. This is to ensure that the practice area is kept clean at all times.

However, Tai Chi is best done in flat shoes with flexible soles, such as light-weight sneakers. To accommodate this requirement, the following rule must be followed:

  1. NO STREET SHOES ARE ALLOWED TO BE USED FOR TAI CHI PRACTICE!

  1. You must bring your clean indoor Tai Chi shoes with you and change into them once you have entered the studio.

  1. All Tai Chi practice must be done on the non-carpeted area of the studio.
